New to KeyForge?

KeyForge is the first-ever “Unique Deck Game,” meaning each of the game’s pre-built decks is completely one-of-a-kind among over 104 quadrillion possibilities.

When you sit down to play a game of KeyForge, you and your opponent will assume the roles of a mighty Archons with their own unique name and symbol. Your path to victory is to gather Æmber, forge three keys and unlock one of the Crucible’s hidden vaults!
KeyForge League @ Greenfield
Dec 11 @ 6:00 pm

Welcome to KeyForge League!

Over the course of this 5-week league, you’ll have a chance to play many different Archon decks—one deck for each player in the league. Your $10 entry will add one Archon deck to the League Pool, and you’ll be given game pairings that enable you to play every deck in the pool.

League Games
Refer to your League Pairings to determine who your opponent is while you play each deck.

For example, a line on your League Pairings might read: “Play Deck #1 vs John Smyth Deck #4.” In this case, John will also have a matching pairing to play Deck #4 against you.

It’s up to you to organize when to play these games. We suggest coming to as many League Tuesdays as possible—and letting most of your games fall into your lap—but your games can also be played on other days of the week. Join our Facebook Group for a great way to set up games with your opponents.

All League games must be played at Board Game Barrister—Greenfield.

League Prizes: Selecting your Archon Deck
At the conclusion of the League, you’ll have an opportunity to submit your deck preferences. In order of standings, we’ll fulfill those preferences as best as we’re able.

Everyone takes home an Archon deck for participating in League!

Open Gaming
League entry will grant you time in the event space on the day you sign up. On any other days you play, normal weekly play fees (100 MVP points or $3) will apply.

Dec 11 @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Test your Potter Knowledge. Play to Win Yule Ball Tickets!

Dear quizzer, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to attend The Geeky Cauldron: A Harry Potter Quiz. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary information and equipment. We await your owl by no later than… actually, please send no owls. Just register and go to the quiz. Owls are dangerous wild animals.

Cheaters will be subjected to the Cruciatus Curse if they are found using self-correcting ink, spellchecking quills or any dishonorable Muggle devices. The quiz will have equal portions questions about the books and the movies and we’ll also be asking a smattering of questions about The Cursed Child, Fantastic Beasts and other stories set in the Potterverse to separate the contenders from the pretenders. You better break out your Timeturners as you’ve got quite a lot of material to cover. Perhaps your local apothecary shop has powdered dragon horn?

Make sure you visit Gringotts before quiz, as admission is 8 sickles, 13 knuts. We will accept Muggle money, of course, so that comes to $5 per person. Winners will be awarded a fat purse (trust us, it will not be leprechaun gold) and the top team will take home tickets to our coveted YULE BALL AT TURNER HALL BALLROOM!! Your team is required to register for this quiz! Get that done at http://bit.ly/ThemeQuizRegistration!

THEMED QUIZ FAQs

Can people under 21 play?
Yes, we are all ages until 10pm, 21+ afterward.

Should I wear a costume?
YES! It’s not required, but you should feel free to wear your house robes and represent!

How do you sign up? Where do you buy tickets?
You can register your team by filling out this form: http://bit.ly/ThemeQuizRegistration. This is NOT a reservation of seating, but it will help us ensure that we have ample space for all our teams. We anticipate our theme quizzes will fill up quickly and we will turn away teams that did not pre-register. You will not purchase tickets in advance, simply pay the $5 per player entry fee in cash when you arrive at the quiz. Registrations will close 24 hours before the quiz and, if space permits, walk-up spots will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Will I get some sort of email confirmation?
You and your alternate captain should receive an automated email after submitting your registration and, as long, as that email doesn’t indicate that you’re on stand-by, you should plan to be at the quiz. The week of the quiz, we’ll shoot you a reminder about the quiz as well.

What’s the maximum/minimum players per team?
There is no minimum, but if you want to win, you should have a fully staffed squad. We’re happy to help you find teammates in advance on social media or on the day of. Team maximum is strictly six players, as always. Everyone sitting with you is considered part of your team.

Do spectators have to pay?
Yes. Yes, they do. Spectators generally have to pay for sporting events, right? This also goes for Geeks Who Drink employees that aren’t working at the event and the people they make love to.

Can my dad/girlfriend/friend sit at our table and not play?
No. Six people max on a team and all players must pay. If they’re sitting with you and not playing, we’re going to ask that they move.

Will BLANK TOPIC be covered?
Everything is fair game. Study hard. Apply yourself. And we never give clues.

How long will the quiz last?
Our regular quizzes run about 2 hours, but themed quizzes require a bit more heavy lifting in terms of logistics, scoring and extra stuff we may have planned. Average is about 2 1/2 hours.
