Dungeons & Dragons (Casual Campaign) @ Greenfield
May 20 @ 6:00 pm

Join us for a weekly Dungeons & Dragons campaign!

Create a character, prepare to combat great threats, and dive into your own unique story in this massively popular roleplaying game! D&D is as much as game of collective storytelling and memorable moments as it is about slaying dragons and collecting loot.

Your Dungeon Master, Adam, will guide you through this adventure campaign, welcoming all players new and old to a fantastic world.

Adam is a self-proclaimed easy-going DM who emphasizes fun over rules. His campaigns prioritize the narrative, with an equal mix of roleplaying and combat.

New players welcome!
Players with little or no experience with Dungeons & Dragons are welcome at this event. Your Dungeon Master is available to provide guidance and answer questions during the event. No materials necessary!

The Tabletop Day Schedule of Events is Now Live!

Friends, Gamers, Champions—Lend me your dice!

International Tabletop Day draws near! On June 1, gamers across the globe will come together as a community to celebrate and share our passions—by playing more games!

Board Game Barrister is getting in on the fun with an all-day schedule of events and free open gaming for those who want to spend the day exploring our wall of demo games.

So get in on the fun, discover some great new games, and maybe you’ll walk away with some goodies and promos for your favorites.

Tabletop Day at the Pub!
Thanks to the mysterious forces of fate, our Oak & Shield Pub will have been open for 56 weeks without hosting a Tabletop Day. Let’s change that! Oak & Shield will be in full gaming mode with an entire day of events, food, drink, patio games, and more!

Call for Event Runners
Bring your passions to the table! This is your chance to spread the love for your favorite games and find folks to play with. Worker placement, deck-building, roleplaying, party games, bluffing, miniatures and social deduction games—whatever you want to play on the international holiday for our favorite hobby!

(Oh, and did I mention? You’ll get MVP points for every game you host!)

Choose one or more games to host from the Tabletop Day games list.

Prefer to play games rather than run them?
Brilliant! Playing games is what International Tabletop Day is all about, and we’ll have plenty of event runners looking for players to fill their tables! Stop in and celebrate the tabletop games you love surrounded by your fellow gamers, all day at the Board Game Barrister locations in Bayshore, Greenfield, Mayfair and the Oak & Shield Pub!

Dungeons & Dragons for Kids! (Class) @ Greenfield
Jul 21 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Welcome to Barristerberg Adventurers Academy!

This mythical and magical place is where young adventurers begin their journeys and build lifelong knowledge of how to be a great Dungeons & Dragons player.

Dungeons & Dragons isn’t just about tracking statistics and defeating imaginary dragons. The real fun of the game is in telling a communal story, cheering when your teamwork pays off, and laughing when everything goes wonky.

Learning Event
This D&D “class” will prepare young players to join in on any of our D&D for Kids adventures in the future.

Tier 1 Event
This “Tier 1” event will focus solely on the fundamentals of Dungeons & Dragons gameplay. Participants will learn the essentials of:

  • Choosing an adventuring class and race (elf, dwarf, gnome, human, etc) for their character;
  • Listening to descriptions of the story world and making choices for their characters;
  • Interacting with the Dungeon Master’s story world and the characters it contains;
  • Basic rules of adventuring and fighting (Example: Roll a die and add your attack value to see if you hit this goblin);
  • Acting in turn so that the whole group participates.

A “trimmed” portion of the Dungeons & Dragons rules will be used during this gameplay session. To continue learning the complete D&D ruleset, also join us for our Tier 2 and Tier 3 events.

About your Dungeon Master
Chris has been playing Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games since 1981. For many years, he has run events in Board Game Barrister stores, at official conventions, and at home. Chris has published several pieces in third-party roleplaying books and has written numerous adventures and campaigns.
