Welcome to Barristerberg Adventurers Academy!
This mythical and magical place is where young adventurers begin their journeys and build lifelong knowledge of how to be a great Dungeons & Dragons player.
Dungeons & Dragons isn’t just about tracking statistics and defeating imaginary dragons. The real fun of the game is in telling a communal story, cheering when your teamwork pays off, and laughing when everything goes wonky.
About your Dungeon Master
Chris has been playing Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games since 1981. For many years, he has run events in Board Game Barrister stores, at official conventions, and at home. Chris has published several pieces in third-party roleplaying books and has written numerous adventures and campaigns.
We’re happy to set aside space for your upcoming birthday party, private game night or special get-together!

Gather your team of three. Assemble your decks. Achieve great victory!
Team Sealed will challenge your team of three players to build three decks out of twelve boosters, one deck for each teammate.
Compete against other teams all afternoon. Once two players on a team defeat their opponents, that team wins the match!

We’ll need the name of your Team Leader when you register. Your full team will need to check-in together on the day of the event.
Need a team? Stop in during registration, and we’ll do our best to find you some teammates for the event!
Note: Events tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable.
Online pre-registration will end on Thursday, September 5 at 11:59pm. In-store registration will be available on the day of the event.
Event Structure & Format
- Sealed Pack Distribution: x12 Core Set 2020
- Select a Team Name! The Steamflogger Middlemen? Ajohnnie Walker White Label? Just as long as it’s name that you want to go down in history.
- Declare for your team’s Home Store. Do you fly the banner for Greenfield, Mayfair or North Shore?
- You will have approximately one hour to build your decks as a team.
- All cards opened in your team’s packs are considered your collective card pool. Any of those cards can be included in any of your three decks.
- After deckbuilding, teams will compete in a number of Swiss rounds, dependent on attendance.
About Playing a Team Match:
In a team match, players battle other teams of three with their decks, pairing off into individual best-of-three matches. When a team has two players win their individual matches, the whole team wins the team match.
Event Prizes:
All participating* teams will select a Prize Pack based on final standings.
Prize Packs can include Champion playmats, booster packs, apparel, promos, and more.
Plus, the winning team’s store will be named this season’s Team Champion titleholder.
*Teams must participate in every round in order to select a Prize Pack.

Each Colossal Booster will contain 4 standard size figures and a 2×2 Clix Base figure in EVERY booster! Discover new characters both small and large in this can’t-be-missed release! This set features all of the fan-favorite characters from the 1990’s X-Men animated series like Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit, Jubilee, and Morph!
Colossal figures in the set will feature some of the epic threats that the X-Men have faced ranging from Nimrod to the Dark Phoenix or the Shadow King! Not to fear, some of the X-Men have found ways to be a colossal answer to evil, like Iceman and Vange Whedon.
Standard Showdown is back – it’s time to master the Standard Format!
Join us for a friendly competitive Standard event, and play to win packs, as well as special 4-card Standard Showdown boosters!
All players win a booster pack of their choice for every match won. The Top 8 players will take home a Showdown booster, and first place gets an additional Showdown booster!
Each Showdown booster contains four cards:
- 2 rare or mythic rare cards from a currently legal Standard set
- 2 foil card of any rarity from a currently legal Standard set
