Description: Build your 300 point team from Modern Age HeroClix pieces. You can find a list of those pieces on the WizKids website in the rules forum here: https://win.wizkids.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12435&sid=ff78cf4bfc404c1040eca83985ffee22
New to HeroClix?
Play with your favorite super heroes, sidekicks (and villains) at our HeroClix events! Each week has a theme, scenario and/or format. Stop by to learn the game!
Over the course of this 5-week league, you’ll have a chance to play many different Archon decks—one deck for each player in the league. Your $10 entry will add one Archon deck to the League Pool, and you’ll be given game pairings that enable you to play every deck in the pool.
League Games
Refer to your League Pairings to determine who your opponent is while you play each deck.
For example, a line on your League Pairings might read: “Play Deck #1 vs John Smyth Deck #4.” In this case, John will also have a matching pairing to play Deck #4 against you.
It’s up to you to organize when to play these games. We suggest coming to as many League Tuesdays as possible—and letting most of your games fall into your lap—but your games can also be played on other days of the week. Join our Facebook Group for a great way to set up games with your opponents.
All League games must be played at Board Game Barrister—Greenfield.
League Prizes: Selecting your Archon Deck
At the conclusion of the League, you’ll have an opportunity to submit your deck preferences. In order of standings, we’ll fulfill those preferences as best as we’re able.
Everyone takes home an Archon deck for participating in League!
Open Gaming
League entry will grant you time in the event space on the day you sign up. On any other days you play, normal weekly play fees (100 MVP points or $3) will apply.

Welcome to Barristerberg Adventurers Academy!
This mythical and magical place is where young adventurers begin their journeys and build lifelong knowledge of how to be a great Dungeons & Dragons player.
Dungeons & Dragons isn’t just about tracking statistics and defeating imaginary dragons. The real fun of the game is in telling a communal story, cheering when your teamwork pays off, and laughing when everything goes wonky.
Class Event
This D&D “class” will prepare young players to join in on any of our D&D for Kids adventures in the future.
Stick around for a same-day adventure at 4:00PM, January 13!
Tier 1 Event
This “Tier 1” event will focus solely on the fundamentals of Dungeons & Dragons gameplay. Participants will learn the essentials of:
- Choosing an adventuring class and race (elf, dwarf, gnome, human, etc) for their character;
- Listening to descriptions of the story world and making choices for their characters;
- Interacting with the Dungeon Master’s story world and the characters it contains;
- Basic rules of adventuring and fighting (Example: Roll a die and add your attack value to see if you hit this goblin);
- Acting in turn so that the whole group participates.
A “trimmed” portion of the Dungeons & Dragons rules will be used during this gameplay session. To continue learning the complete D&D ruleset, also join us for our Tier 2 and Tier 3 events.
About your Dungeon Master
Chris has been playing Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games since 1981. For many years, he has run events in Board Game Barrister stores, at official conventions, and at home. Chris has published several pieces in third-party roleplaying books and has written numerous adventures and campaigns.
Your training is complete and it’s time to begin your life of action and adventure in Dungeons & Dragons!
Together, we’ll tell an amazing story about your character’s heroic choices and amazing quests. All game materials will be provided, but players wishing to bring their own dice or a miniature representing their hero may do so.
Important:
Players in our Adventure events will first want to attend one of our D&D for Kids Class events.
