Board Game Barrister
Since November 2005 the Board Game Barrister has been bringing the joy of board games to families throughout Milwaukee.
That's right, board games: sit-'round-the-table games, tickle-the-brain games, interact-with-people games, learn-without-being-taught games. Fun.
When you visit the Board Game Barrister, you may see two rather oddly different things than you might expect. First, there is simply so much to see. Hundreds of games will greet your eyes and tickle your imagination. Something new and different, no matter how many games you have played before.
Second, many games are open on the counter, behind the counter, and in the gaming area, ready for you to touch, feel, and play. See if the box you first liked is a winner of a game, or be surprised to discover a game whose box you might not have given more than a glance. The Board Game Barrister is on a mission to remind the world that games are meant to be played, face to face, one person at a time.

Game Nights at Bayshore!
The excellent folks at the Bayshore Town Center are allowing- no, are downright excited- to have the Board Game Barrister run events at the mall.
Tables are setup in the rotunda, right outside the store, every Friday and Saturday. All you need to checkout and play any game from the Barrister's extensive library is a valid state id. So stop by this weekend, and play some games!
Friday Night Magic
Play Magic: the Gathering every Friday in the rotunda, just outside the inside doors of the Board Game Barrister. Casual play begins at 3pm, and the official FNM tournament begins at 6pm. 3-pack drafts are scheduled at present, with the format changing based on the community's taste.
HeroClix on Saturdays
Join this exciting game of fun superhero combat (almost,check the schedule) every Saturday at 1pm. The theme changes every week, and newcomers are always welcome. Check the calendar for details- just ignore anything that says all events are at the Kinnickinnic store, that part of the website might not be updated.
The Barrister at Bayshore - new permanent location
The Board Game Barrister's store at Bayshore Town Center has moved to a new, much better, super-swanky, permanent location. The Barrister is now at the other end of the interior mall, in the rotunda by Guest Services, underneath Bar Louie and the iPic, across the street from Alterra Coffee. The Bayshore store's phone number is 414-963-2100, and will be open during mall hours.
Milwaukee Go Club
The Milwaukee Go Club will begin meeting at the Board Game Barrister. Precise details are being worked out as to time and day, though Saturday afternoons are seeming like a good bet. New players are always welcome, and the dedicated members of the Milwaukee Go Club will help you learn this fascinating game.

Magic: Shards of Alara events
The Board Game Barrister is please to host two special events for the upcoming Shards of Alara set for Magic: the Gathering. The Prerelease event event is Saturday, September 27th, and the Release Party is Saturday, October 4th. See the calendar of events, or sign up for the magic mailing list for more details. Both events will be hosted in the rotunda at Bayshore Town Center.
