This Pauper format event is available on the final Friday of every month!
In this format, all cards must have been printed at common rarity in a Magic Online set or product. Common promo cards are only legal if the card meets that qualification.
If a common version of a particular card was ever released on Magic Online, any version of that card is legal in this format.
Four Pack-per-Win Rounds
During the event, you will be paired against opponents for four 50-minute rounds. For each round you win, you will receive a booster pack of your choice at the event’s conclusion!
More about the Pauper Format & Card Legality
- All cards must have been printed at common rarity in a Magic Online set or product
- Minimum of 60 cards in the main deck
- Up to 15 cards in your sideboard, if used
- No more than 4 of any individual card in the main deck and sideboard combined (with the exception of basic lands)

New to Magic?
Our FNM Standard event is a great place to learn the game amidst our amazing community of players. Feel free to stop in and learn the ropes!
Open three packs of Ravnica Allegiance, assemble your League deck, and play as many games as you want against opponents of your choice! You’ll have an opportunity to reinforce your deck every week, and you’ll get prizes just for completing games—win or lose.
How does it work?
When you enter the league, you’ll open three packs of the new set. From the contents of those boosters and basic lands provided by the store, you’ll then build a 30-card (minimum) deck.
From there, play single-game matches. Each player gets one free mulligan.
Play anyone during the course of the league and as many games as you like—there is no limit on total games. Just try not to play the same person twice in a row. League games may be played any time, but must be played at the Board Game Barrister location where you joined the league.
This league does not exclude you from playing in Friday Night Magic or other events. If you want to buy into the league and play some games between or after your matches, you’re more than welcome.
This league will continue through Friday, March 1.
Late entrants welcome!
Players in this league need not be present every league Friday in order to participate. If you miss the first week, you can enter in a later week. By the same token, if you miss any week after the first, you may resume your league play where you left off.
You may purchase one pack per week to add to your card pool and deck. Each new week begins on League Friday.
Lose three games, and you can purchase another pack to add to your deck.
- Upon entering the league, you’ll receive three packs of Ravnica Allegiance and a *League Deck Box.
- *Deck boxes are provided for some sets, but not for others.
- Play 5+ games over the course of the league, win or lose, will receive a pack of Board Game Barrister art sleeves.
- Play 10+ games, and you’ll receive this season’s Foil League Promo: Gate Colossus
- Plays 20+ games over the course of the league will receive a pack of full art and/or foil promos.
New to the Game?
HeroClix is a collectible miniatures game that centers on the world of superhero comic books, especially the Marvel and DC Comics universes. Players construct teams of comic book heroes, villains, or characters from various video games series such as Street Fighter, Gears of War, and Halo and engage in a turn-by-turn battle on grid maps based on various storyline locations.
- Bring a project to work on, or browse for one on the shelves when you arrive.
- Exchange advice with other minis painters of all skill levels.
- Come and go as you please. Feel free to stay for an hour one week and four hours the next!
We supply: Brushes, paints, pallets, paper towel and water cups.
When done for the day, painters are asked to clean their brushes and pallets, and empty their water cups.
Any miniature priming will need to be done outside the store. In extreme warm or cold weather, we suggest priming miniatures at home beforehand, and in a well-ventilated area.
